WHY CAN'T TURKS LEARN ENGLISH?

Why can't Turks, who always overcome all difficulties and who don't have the word “impossible” in their dictionary, learn English? Why are Turks not learning this language even though English is one of the easiest languages? What is the real problem?

Despite the fact that English education started at primary school and continued until university, unfortunately, most people cannot establish English sentences even after school life is over. However, as we all know, language education at a young age is always more permanent. However, even if one English sentence cannot be established at the end of the school, there is a serious problem. Let us explain why the Turks cannot learn English together.

GRAMMAR INFORMATION

Unfortunately, we attach great importance to grammar knowledge in terms of learning English. We mix Turkish grammar rules with English grammar rules. While adding a new word by adding words in Turkish from the end, we try to apply the same rule in English. For example, while we can create a new word with the suffixes we bring to the end of Turkish words, the spelling and reading of words with the same meanings in English are different. Since we attach importance to grammar rather than vocabulary, we cannot fully comprehend this language.

SPEAKING ENGLISH, THINKING TURKISH

One of the biggest mistakes made by the Turks is to try to speak English by thinking Turkish about learning English and speaking English. They think of English sentence setup as Turkish sentence setup and try to speak in that way. While the sentence structure should be established first, we try to answer the sentences by thinking in Turkish.

NOT INTERESTING IN ENGLISH

Turks have always been first in matters of interest, and indifferent and abstaining in matters that have not. If a subject or any business has attracted our attention, we have surpassed it and have done it successfully. Turks are a nation that has given a lot of value for its perfect word as it has many examples in history. Unfortunately, they were indifferent to learning English, and although English is a world language, they did not improve themselves in this regard. It was difficult for them to learn because they were not interested. Unfortunately, they were indifferent to this language, perhaps because of the quality of teaching, or perhaps the weakness of expression techniques.

WORD LEARNING

Since the Turks think about learning English and try to speak English, they think that only grammar knowledge will be enough by going through logic. Therefore, he does not pay attention to learning words. However, they are words that make up sentences and provide a fluent speech. Because they try to understand grammar without learning words, they cannot fully learn English. There is no need for grammatical knowledge to read a sentence, but you cannot fully understand the sentence without knowing the meaning of the words.

CROWDED CLASSES

Language education starts at primary school. This is a pretty good situation. Learning a language after learning to read is a more effective and permanent method. But there is something forgotten. Foreign language is not taught in thirty, thirty-five classes. While most of the students are at a different level, thirty or thirty-five of them are at the same level, unfortunately, it makes learning English difficult. Learning English should be based on students' levels, not in crowded classrooms.

In fact, when all these reasons are eliminated, Turks can learn English perfectly in the shortest time, with the help of quality education and a good teacher. If Turks cannot learn English literally now, it is not about the level of intelligence or perception of Turks. It is completely related to the form of teaching. The reasons for non-learning mentioned above are the reasons that can be corrected with a good teacher and an effective education system. If most people who have completed their education life can learn this language in a very short time by going to English courses from outside, the quality of education in schools should be revised.
