The GMAT test is a test to measure the academic success of MBA candidates. Exam duration is 3.5 hours, and students are evaluated over 800 points.
Analytical writing and integrated reasoning sections of the test are also scored. Some schools consider these departments.
The sections in the GMAT exam are:
- Analytical Writing: With the configuration made in 2017, this section measures candidates' ability to think critically and express their opinions. During the test, it is aimed to analyze the reasoning underlying a proposition. Only one topic is given, and this is expected to be answered within 30 minutes.
- Integrated Reasoning: This section measures the candidates' ability to evaluate information presented in different formats and sources. For this part of 12 questions, 30 minutes are given.
- Quantitative: It focuses on candidates to draw conclusions using their ability to analyze and judge data. The GMAT 2017 test format is similar to the education format used in secondary education. Candidates are expected to solve 37 questions in 75 minutes. The numerical part consists of two stages. Problem-solving stages are tested with data sufficiency. Topics include arithmetic, basic algebra, and basic geometry.
- Verbal: According to the GMAT 2017 test format, the verbal part focuses on measuring candidates' reading and understanding abilities. It measures standard English knowledge for correction of written materials. Candidates are asked to solve 41 questions in 75 minutes. Topics include reading, rectifying, and logic reasoning.

- It focuses on skills such as understanding complex problems and organizing data collected from multiple sources.
