Conditional sentences are English grammatical structures used to express events that will happen under certain conditions. There are two or more types of conditional sentences, each expressing a different situation or possibility.

1. Zero Conditional:

   - This structure is used to express general truths and facts.
   - Formula: If + present simple, present simple
   - Example: If you heat ice, it melts.

2. First Conditional:
   - This structure is used to express possible future events and their results.
   - Formula: If + present simple, will + verb
   - Example: If it rains tomorrow, we will stay indoors.

3. Second Conditional:
   - This structure is used to express unreal or improbable events and their results.
   - Formula: If + past simple, would + verb
   - Example: If I won the lottery, I would travel the world.

4. Third Conditional:
   - This structure is used to express unreal past events and their hypothetical results.
   - Formula: If + past perfect, would have + past participle
   - Example: If I had studied harder, I would have passed the exam.
