Types of Imperative Sentences

1. Commands:

   • Usage: To give direct orders.
   • Examples:
     • "Stop talking."
     • "Finish your homework."

2. Requests:

   • Usage: To ask someone to do something politely. Often uses words like "please."
   • Examples:
     • "Please pass the salt."
     • "Could you help me with this?"

3. Advice or Suggestions:

   • Usage: To offer advice or suggestions.
   • Examples:
     • "Take an umbrella with you."
     • "Try restarting your computer."

4. Instructions:

   • Usage: To give directions or instructions.
   • Examples:
     • "Turn left at the next street."
     • "Mix the flour and sugar together."

5. Invitations:

   • Usage: To invite someone to do something.
   • Examples:
     • "Come to the party tonight."
     • "Join us for dinner."

Negative Form

• Usage: To tell someone not to do something.
• Form: Don’t + [base form of the verb]
• Examples:
  • "Don’t be late."
  • "Don’t forget your keys."
