At Jönköping University research and education are carried out at four schools: Jönköping International Business School, School of Education and Communication, School of Engineering and School of Health and Welfare.

Requirements for Undergraduate Studies
- Certified copies of high school diploma and transcripts* (which entitle the student to university studies in his/her home country).
- Proof of English proficiency
- A copy of your passport
- Letter of Motivation- Motivation letter should be no longer than 1000 words. Work experience that relates to programme considered an asset.
- Web-based interview may be conducted as part of the admissions process.
* All copies must be officially certified as true copies, which means they should be stamped and signed by the issuing school or a notary public in the original language and in an officially certified translation into Swedish or English, if the documents are issued in another language.

Application Fee
All Swedish Universities charge a mandatory application fee of 900 SEK (approx. 100 Euro) to citizens outside the European Union (EU), European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland.

Application Fee
Sweden requires an application fee of SEK 900 for citizens outside the European Union (EU), European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland.
Passport & Visa
All students should have a valid passport for the period of their study in Jönköping. If you need a visa depends on where you come from. If you are intending to stay in Sweden for less than three months, you will need a visa if the country that issues your passport is on this list [PDF file]. You should also confirm possible visa requirements with the Swedish consulate or embassy responsible for your home country.
For countries outside the EU
If you come from a country outside the EU and you are planning to study for longer than three months, you require a residence permit before arriving in Sweden. Permits are issued by the Swedish Migration Board and the Board has collected what you need to know before applying for a residence permit. Applications are to be made at a Swedish consulate or embassy.
When applying for a residence permit, you must prove to the Swedish Migration Board that you will have a guaranteed sum of money at your disposal throughout the entire period of your studies. The amount, SEK 8,010 per month for ten months of the year, is set by the Migration Board. For more information please visit the Swedish Migration Board.
Please remember that you cannot apply for a residence permit unless you have been admitted to full time accredited university studies in Sweden. The application fee for a residence permit is SEK 1,000.
Tuition Fees at Jönköping University
The following fees apply for the academic year 2015/2016. The amounts will vary depending on the school and programme. The tuition fee will be charged in advance for each semester (30 ECTS).
Jönköping International Business School
Bachelor's programmes (3 year programmes): SEK 100,000 per academic year.
Master's programmes (1 and 2 year programmes): SEK 120,000 per academic year.
Summer Programme: 16 250 SEK per undergraduate course and 13 250 SEK per graduate course
School of Education and Communication
Bachelor's programmes (3 year programmes): SEK 100,000 per acacemic year.
Master's programmes: SEK 117,000 per academic year.
School of Engineering
Bachelor's programmes (3 year programmes): SEK 125,000 per academic year.
Master's Programmes (2 year programmes): SEK 135,000 per academic year.
Higher Education Diploma (Eksjö Campus) (2 year programmes): 120,000 per academic year.
School of Health and Welfare
Master's programmes (1 year programmes): SEK 117,000 per academic year (web based).
Application fee
Students with citizenship in a country outside the EU, EEA and Switzerland are required to pay a SEK 900 (approximately EUR 100) application fee. You pay one application fee, regardless of how many programmes or courses you apply for during the current admission period.
Application period
The application period is: November 2 - April 15.
Students should send all supporting documents directly to Jönköping University Admissions, within 2 weeks, or by the latest, May 1, to be considered if places are still available.
Payment
The application fee must be paid when the application is submitted. Tuition fees are paid to the university directly. The payment is divided into equal installments; one payment per semester. The first installment of tuition fee is paid before the application for a residency permit can be approved.
In Sweden, all offers of admission are considered preliminary until the student has paid the first installment of his or her tuition fee.
