1. As Objects of Prepositions

3. To Indicate Ongoing Actions or Habits

Infinitives

1. To Express Purpose

   • Example: "I bought a book to improve my English." (Here, "to improve" shows the purpose of buying the book.)

2. After Certain Adjectives

   • Example: "It’s difficult to understand this topic." (Here, "to understand" follows the adjective "difficult.")

3. To Express Future Intentions

   • Example: "She plans to travel next year." (Here, "to travel" indicates a future intention.)
