Example:

- She used to live in New York. (This was a situation in the past, but she doesn't live there anymore.)
Would:
- Also describes repeated actions or habits in the past, but cannot be used for states.
- Often used with a specific time reference or context to emphasize the repeated nature.
Example:
- When I was a child, we would visit my grandparents every summer. (This was a regular activity during my childhood.)
- On Sundays, he would go fishing with his father. (This was a regular activity on Sundays.)
