1. Countable Nouns
Countable nouns can be counted and have both singular and plural forms.

Singular Form: Refers to one item.
- Example: apple — I have an apple.

Plural Form: Refers to more than one item.
- Example: apples — I have three apples.

Making Plurals: Typically, plural forms are made by adding "-s" or "-es".
- Example: dog → dogs
- Example: box → boxes
2. Uncountable Nouns
Uncountable nouns cannot be counted individually and usually refer to a mass or substance. They only have a singular form.

Singular Form: Always used in the singular.
- Example: water — I need some water. (I need water, not counted.)

Quantifying Uncountable Nouns: Use terms like some, a little, a lot of to indicate quantity.
- Example: rice — I bought a bag of rice. (Rice is measured by quantity.)
- Example: milk — She drank a glass of milk. (Milk is measured in glasses.)

No Plural Forms: Uncountable nouns do not have a plural form.
